I received a BS in History ('70) and Juris Doctor from Washburn Law School in Topeka ('73). I served in the U S Navy. I married Jane McDermed of Erie while in law school and after graduation practiced in Erie with Fleming and Forsyth for 4 years. I then opened my own law office in Parsons in 1978 and have practiced law here since, currently law firm with David Markham (Tucker and Markham). I have served as Parsons Municipal Judge for approximately 25 years. I still enjoy my work and work 4 days a week. Jane and I live on a farm south of Parsons. We have two sons and a daughter and eight grandchildren. I have been active in the community and tried to give back. We have been blessed in many ways.
