Occupation: Retired educator

Marital Status: Married

No. of Children: 2

From Sarah: After graduation in 1968 with a B.S. In education from KU and teaching in Topeka, my husband and I lived in Garden City, Ks from 1969 to 1990. I taught high school English, was teacher and director of a school for children with disabilities, received my M.S. In Early Childhood Education from Ft. Hayes State, and was an instructor at Garden City Community College. In 1990, we moved to the Northern Marianas Islands, living until 2008 on the island of Saipan. I taught with the Northern Marianas College School of Education from 1990 to 2005. I was fortunate to receive a sabbatical from 1996 to 1998, receiving a Ph.D. In education from The University of Hawaii in 2000. John and I were able to travel throughout Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia and other islands in the Pacific. We have a daughter who lives in Hawaii with her husband and three of our delightful grandchildren. Our son and his wife live in Baltimore, MD. They have given us two precious granddaughters. I spend a great deal of time as "granny nanny" -- to my delight--working on family genealogy, reading, researching this and that, traveling, etc. I spent six weeks in Guatemala last fall taking EFL coursework....so I try to stay busy.
