Since PHS, these degrees: BA in Math (with much German) from University of Kansas, MBA with finance emphasis also from KU, and MSW with concentrations in gerontology and health from University of Denver. The last was part of my midlife crisis, finished just before I turned 50, and after many years of work in information technology. After that career change: employment in adult day care, nursing home, and the state Medicaid agency’s long term care section. Now a part-time consultant on elder care issues with LeadingAge Colorado. Ironic – I wanted to work with old people and now I am one! I am so fortunate to be healthy enough to enjoy my favorite activity, dancing (mainly polka and contra) - and also hiking, especially with my significant other Ray and his dog Suzie, in beautiful Colorado, where I’ve lived for 33 years. I get back to Parsons frequently to visit my mother – now 99! For everyone who knew my brother Jim, one year older, he is a retired banker in a suburb of Chicago.
