After graduating from KU in 1968 I began teaching in the Shawnee Mission Schools. I taught 40 years retiring in 2008. During those years I taught the Honors and AP courses in World Geography and American Government. The last 22 years I taught at Shawnee Mission West. My wife, Carol Lee, also taught in Shawnee Mission for 37 years. Carol Lee and I married in 1970 and have two sons. Jason lives in Gardner and works at Tally Industries as a Project Manager in Olathe. Drew and his wife, Christine, teach in the Olathe School District and also live in Olathe. They have twin girls-Olivia and Riley. Carol Lee and I have been extremely fortunate that our family lives close. We have enjoyed so much having our grandaughters close by during their first 10 years.
