Jones, a former candidate for U.S. Senate in Springfield, passed away in his home after a short illness He was born April 1, 1946, in Parsons, KS. He was active in charities and devoted his last 10 years chapioning patients rights. He is survived by his mother, Bernice, Springfield, Mo.; his sister, Janet, and brother, Rodney and his wife, Diane, all of California; his son, Nicholas Jones; and his daughter, Selina, both of California. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2001, in Maranatha Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Diabetic Association.
