 SUN CITY, ARIZONA SEND JERRY A MESSAGE Occupation: Retired USAF Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 3 From Jerry, and Lin: I went to Pittsburg after graduating for one year. Enlisted in the Air Force in Sept. of 1965 and went to Lackland AFB Tx for basic training and Chanute AFB Ill. for Tech school on B52 aircraft. In Feb of 66 was stationed at Forbes AFB Topeka training on C-130 aircraft. Lin and I where married in August of 1966 at WAME, and lived in Topeka until Dec 1967 when I was stationed at Clark AFB P.I. While at Clark I spent most of my time in Viet Nam at Ton Son Nhut AB. and Camranh Bay AB. In july of 1969 I returned home to Kansas and to McConnel AFB Wichita to work F105 aircraft and returned to Southeast Asia in Feb of 1970 to Ubon AB Tialand until May of 1971 when I returned to Wichita and separated from the Air Force. In June of 1971 we moved to Tulsa OKla. while I attented Spartan Areonatic and joined the Okla Air Guard, Lin work as a medical transcriptionist for A group of Orthopedic Surgeons at St Francis Hospital. Our 2 boys were born while we were there,Jeff in 1975 and Rick in 1978. In 1983 We moved to Glendale Arizona where I joined to 944th Fighter of the USAF as a crew chief on the F16 aircraft and Lin raised our childern and worked as a medical transscriptionist in the new field of MRI. In may of 1984 our daughter Angela was born. Life was pretty calm and ordinary until Jan of 1991 with the start of Desert Storm when I was stationed in Incirlik AB Turkey. I made 3 tours of duty to Turkey until 1994 when I went to Aviono AB Italy for the Bosian Conflict. I did 2 tours at Aviono in 1994 and 1995, then it was back to Incirlik AB Turkey in 1996 to 2000. In 2001 I was in Kiwait in Oct when orders to start flights over Afghanistan were given. I did 3 tours in Afghanistan before retiring in June of 2006. While I was spenting my time in Turkey and Afghanistan Our son Jeff and his wife Ali gave us our first two grandsons Jalen born in 1997 and Taren born in 2000. In 2008 our daughter and husband Micheal gave us another grandson Jayson and in 2010 our son Rick and girlfriend Theresa gave us our 4th grandson Avery and our daughter our 1st granddaughter Jordyn. Lin and I are now both retired and live in Sun City Arizona where we enjoy our children and grandchildren who all live close to us. We are enjoying good health and have spent the last 8 years getting to know each other again. We have just celebrated our 48th anniversary and if I am lucky enough I will see our 50th.
