;void(0)) OUR 1950'S SANTA CLAUS IN PARSONS JOE BARTELLI AND JOHNNY LINDEN 1949 PAGE 5 I sure was surprised to see me appear in this picture on "You know you're from Parsons, Kansas When:" That's a 3 year old Johnny Linden at Christmas 1949 on the top row, far right. Now we finally know the correct identity of our famous Santa Claus in Parsons, Ks. in the 40's, 50's & 60's. Anthony Kip Grosshans says that's definitely Joe Bartelli behind that beard as Santa. Who would have believed 68 years later we would find out the name of Santa Claus. When I was in the 4th grade in Irene Knar's class at Washington Grade School, I was telling some classmates that there really wasn't a Santa Claus.
